Last time I mentioned Nib it was on 0.11 and the news was that it stopped publishing posts twice. It's on 0.17 now, so here's what actually changed.

The big one: Nib speaks Ghost's own format now. A post you wrote in Ghost's editor used to land in the app as a wall of flat text, and editing it would flatten it for real. Now Nib reads it properly — headings, quotes, lists, images, galleries, bookmarks, embeds — and rebuilds exactly what it understood. Anything it can't reproduce it locks instead of saving a worse version. I'd rather it refuse than quietly ruin a post.

There's a Manage tab, which is basically Ghost admin on your phone. Pages, tags, members, newsletters, staff, tiers and offers. You can write a newsletter, check how the last ones did (delivered, opened, clicked) and set up a discount offer without ever opening a browser.

The editor grew up too. Headings, quotes, lists, dividers, code blocks, bold, italics, links. And if you want none of that, there's a simple mode: one text box, nothing you type gets interpreted as formatting. It's per blog, and it's the default.

Also, in no particular order: home screen widgets, launcher shortcuts, alternate app icons, post templates, a feed that opens on your posts instead of a spinner, statistics that stopped taking forever, and in-app updates so you're not stuck on an old version.
