We are gonna talk about going back to Spotify though when they introduce this high quality plan, because there’s literally no way in hell I’m coming back to Spotify after listening to everything in lossless (inb4 - yes, I do have equipment to really enjoy it and I do hear the difference!).
Wifey wanted to get back to Spotify because algorithmic playlists AND user-generated playlists are much better than on Apple Music but then getting rid of Apple One just literally doesn’t make sense when we want to use Apple TV+. This is how they get you.
Not exactly Warsaw during the night but definitely Warsaw during the evening.
I know, I said something about moving to Wordpress from micro.blog but honestly Wordpress isn’t even close in terms of how easy and usable it is.
Saw someone ask a question why is Signal better than Telegram, found this reddit thread and someone did a great job with a summary.
If it ever gets deleted, here’s a copy:
Nothing is stored on Signal's servers, all data lives on your own device(s) and only you hold the encryption keys; Telegram stores everything you do in plaintext on their servers and they hold the encryption keys. That is why pulling down data on a new device is fast.Signal encrypts everything you do end-to-end by default no matter what device you’re using it on; Telegram’s encryption is opt-in, only works on mobile, and only in one-to-one conversations
Signal’s encryption is the gold-standard, and universally praised by Cybersecurity experts; Telegram “rolled their own” encryption, a giant red flag in Cybersecurity, and the quality of their encryption is not nearly as high. Telegram’s encryption has been called “weird” by Cybersecurity experts because it was not created by trained Cryptographers
Signal’s Android, iOS, Desktop, and Server code is open-source; only Telegram’s client code is open-source, so there’s no telling what they’re doing with the data they store on their servers
Signal is a registered non-profit charity; Telegram is now profit-driven after years of being free which means they will inevitably start selling user data - die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain
Signal has never been banned in Russia and then suddenly unbanned for no reason; Telegram was banned in Russia until it was unbanned, seemingly with no reason or explanation
A test thing.
Warsaw, one day.
Mallorca 2023, p2.
Mallorca, 2023.
Bought new winter jacket and I’m actually amazed that such light and thin jacket is going to keep me warm in Polish winter temperatures (-10°C in a worst case scenario).
Dbrand’s grip is still the best iPhone case ever made and unfortunately nothing can change my mind.
This is what I call - good shit.
Elon Musk is considering taking Twitter out of Europe amid EU compliance investigation
At this I’m pretty sure everone would be glad to get rid of it.
Saw a blog post (sorry, can’t find whom was it) about making mail.app basically work like Sparrow app worked once before and honestly this minimal look with only mail list works for me, highly recommended to check if that works with your brain too.
One of these days when I need not one but two ADHD pills to even function properly. I don’t even want to think what past me, without meds and diagnose would do. Cry and run around probably.
Only thing that sucks is how hard it is to move all of my blogposts with photos from micro.blog to Wordpress. I think at the end I’m just gonna manually move all of them. One evening and I’m done, I think.
Honestly I’ve even already set up this new blog (this address ROCKS, pawel.orzech.me? how much better it actually can get?) but it’s going to be empty for a while. Just wanted to get everything in place and test how shit works because I haven’t used Wordpress in a very long time (apart from weekly podcast publications).
At the end of my micro.blog sub I’m gonna probably move to selfhosted Wordpress since ActivityPub got that nice support (with Mastodon apps!).
✨ One more!
✨ Just doing stuff!
Of course - we bought printer a couple years ago, used it a few times and when it’s really needed there is no ink. Of course.
I voted! 🤙🏻
It’s one of only few YouTube videos that deliver exactly what they have in the title.
Horse kicks tree, farts on dogs then runs away. www.youtube.com/watch
I wonder if renting stuff out instead of owning it is a good idea. For example phone - I’d just be paying subscription to have one and then each year I’d be getting new one without thinking what to do with the old one. I’m really not opposed to that.
Oh wow, Bing really IS better than Google. I mean - Kagi is better than both of these but I ain’t gonna pay 10 bucks to search the world wide web. (or am I?)
