Same.

Same.
If I’m gonna consider getting Ricoh GR III just slap me and tell me to buy Sony A7, because I DO already have ASP-C camera with exchangeable lenses and what I’d actually want is full frame camera. Thank you.
Christmas are actually the worst time for me food-wise. I’m not a fan of fish, mayo, mushrooms… therefore I can’t really enjoy them. I actually miss Huel, I’d love to have it with me 🫣
Reminder to myself - Canon G5X Mark II is great but my old Sony A6000 beats it in low light conditions. Bigger sensor is bigger sensor, no way around that.
Christmas Eve made me do it, finally. After a year of not posting I just pulled the plug.
Apple please bring Journal.app to macOS. I like it very much but because if iOS only limitation I’ve started using Day One couple weeks ago. It works fine - sure. But I liked Apple’s UI a bit more.
Tip during Christmas: create new NextDNS accounts for parents (or add them to your plan) with custom configuration and just set it up on their router. Quick, easy and this will make their local network much safer. You can also tweak config from far away pretty easily. Thank me later.
Pokemoning hard. Anbernic RG35XX (love that name, rolls out on your tongue perfectly) is awesome device to play retro games on. Highly recommended if you have that itch in you. Plays everything up to PS1 included, charges with usb-c and costs ~$50-60. Love it.
Interesting times when to have chromium-based browser that WORKS as intended I’m actually thinking about using Chrome again.
Also - dear Arc. Before you change the way the web works, please make your browser work. Like, make it NOT freeze every couple of minutes with all of the buttons unusable. Make it not hide tabs (and I know they are hidden because camera shows there’s an active tab using it)… Please, get basics right first.
Jack Baty | But you ARE building a web browser:
I love Arc. It's great. The team building Arc is enthusiastic, talented, and obviously love what they're doing. But I have to admit that their year-end video "We're not building a web browser" has me a little concerned. I mean, you are building a web browser. Be excited, sure, but calm down a little on the change-the-world rhetoric. It's still a web browser. And the "I remember when I used Apple. My kids use Arc." was dreamy nonsense.
At this point my takes are Jack’s takes. I could just copy his posts to show what I’m thinking. This is exactly my take on Arc’s newest video.
Katurah and her million dollar mistake. Damn, this season is pretty good!
Lately, however, I've noticed that I spend a lot of time "managing" things in Arc. I organize the sidebar. I pin and unpin tabs. I make spaces for no good reason. I "traffic control" sites so they open in specific ways. There are many things one can tweak Arc, and I've been tweaking all of them.
I find myself doing the same stuff all the time. What works for me is using Arc during workday and then moving to Safari, and to streamline this proces I’m using this little app called Velja so changing default browser is just as easy as clicking in the menu bar and picking what’s the main browser today!
Just made my third Huel order. At this point I’m addicted to Mexican chilli and pasta bolognese. This time I’ve added Vanilla powder instead of Chocolate. I’m gonna mix them two! 😎
OMG, Safari is just SO FREAKING FAST after emptying its history. Who knew? Apparently keeping 100k history entries isn’t recommended.
Maybe, just maybe, Safari being slow could be related to Safari having 100k items in history. Maybe. Who knows, I guess we will never know?
Because of the usual problems with Arc, I’ve installed Firefox just to check it out. The last time I had Firefox installed was a really long time ago, and I have to admit that it works pretty well. It’s also surprisingly fast.
The day when they’re gonna be dead is coming sooner than later I’m afraid…
Actually I might try to have less widget and more apps area. Let’s see how this one works out.
Didn’t add a photo for that December post lol.
