I wonder if renting stuff out instead of owning it is a good idea. For example phone - I’d just be paying subscription to have one and then each year I’d be getting new one without thinking what to do with the old one. I’m really not opposed to that.

Basically iPhone 14 with usb-c. I’m all for it and actually I’ll be inclined to “downgrade” from 14 Plus to it. And if they keep price so low this will be a no-brainer.
Had to restore forum from backup yesterday because my previous nginx configuration messed up with let’s encrypt and it was just easier and quicker to boot up another machine and restore it from backup. Anyway, here’s my face after 2 hours of “just gonna update Discourse quickly and go to bed”.
Also after moving to mostly one-desk-to-do-it-all setup I think Mac Mini IN ADDITION to my current M1 Air isn’t that bad idea? Beefing it up a bit and it could be much better setup but I would still be able to move between places with Air. All these ideas are great until money becomes a topic.
I hope Apple is going to refresh iMacs and Mac Minis to M2/M3 quite quickly because yo boy here is on the market to maybe pull the trigger somewhere there.
I’ve grown to love this watchface.
I am Apple Music user, love the quality, I have my fav playlists there. BUT because I’m YT Premium subscriber I’ve got an access to YouTube Music. It’s not the highest quality, of course, but it does work fine and in the web browser it actually works thousand times better than AM ever was.
This is definitely going to be a tricky one, but… is there an easy way (or cheap way) to move all of my #homekit onto something less iOS exclusive? If one would, like, want to get an #Android phone, then what would that one be able to do about current smart home? #smarthome

Just when I wanted to leave Arc and use something like Vivaldi, Arc is doing something cool again.
I wanted to actually think about starting Lemmy instance but honestly all of this content moderation made me instantly regret it. I think it would be fun to host it as in technical part of things, but all of the rest is definitely not fun.
