Yesterday Iโ€™ve connected most of the things I was able to connect to Home Assistant without the dongle. Even though not much has changed Iโ€™ve grouped all of the lights in each room so now I have buttons to turn on/off lights in each room individually quite easily!

I pulled the trigger last night and purchased a dongle for Home Assistant, which enables me to connect directly with Thread/Matter/Zigbee, along with a very affordable Zigbee-enabled sensor. I believe this signifies my transition from Apple HomeKit to a more platform-agnostic system. I’m here for it.
