Itโs been a couple of months, and Iโm still kind of amazed at how good this phone is. The speed hits me every time – not just opening apps, but the whole system just feels light and snappy. Charging is stupidly fast. You plug it in for ten minutes, and itโs basically full again.
Android really fits the way I use a phone. I like how much control I have, and how I can tweak small things without it fighting back. Iโve been looking at some of the new custom ROMs for the OnePlus 13 though (LineageOS in particular) and itโs tempting. No proper esim and LTPO support yet so I’m waiting for that getting fixed (I know how hard this could be but my fingers are crossed).
Funny thing is, I wouldnโt have gone down this road without the Pixel 8a I bought about a year ago. That phone made me appreciate Android in the first place. But it also showed me what I was missing – a faster screen, better charging, a bit more power under the hood.
So yeah, no regrets switching. It was a good year phone-wise.
